Restoration... This was a very solid car chosen to be customized to what it is today. This was a frame off restoration done several years ago before the current drivetrain was added. As you can see in the pictures it is the same color underneath as it is on top. As for the body from what we can tell the body appears to be very original and accident and rust free with the very small exception being a small fender bender on the passenger side right on the corner end under the tailight very low. It appears to had just a small amount of body work done years ago but that is it. you can see all the factory welds very plainly and clearly and the car is very solid.
The car has many new parts: Here is just a small list of them: 17" wheels/tires size 275/40ZR17, 3"exhaust, headers, all out side emblems/lettering, outside mirrors, some lower SS moldings, horns, horn relay, some wiring harness's, radio, speakers, carpet, door panels, seat fully redone with new foam and material, B&M shifter, digital dash, weather stripping, full dashpad, digital dash, inside and outside door handles, window cranks, door vent window handles, stainless bed trim, tailgate trim, radiator, engine, tranny complete rear end, fuel lines, fuel pump, gas tank, oak bed and SS rails, chrome hood hindges, brake lines, brakes, calipers, rotors, distributor, sill plates, battery, tilt steering column, kickpanels, firewall pad, door hinges and the list goes on and on.
There was countless hours spent on this car to get it to this condition. It is hard to believe the car is 46 years old.
Exterior... Now the paint used for the car was Tri-stage House of Kolor, which is not the easiest to paint. When it is done you get a very unique look. The color is Tangerine Candy with clear coat overtop. When you look at this paint some ways it is darker with the sun other times it is light. It depends on where you stand and where the sun is hitting. When you look at the hood the one way it looks darker the the front of the fender the next way it matches. The fenders curve up and reflect the light different and this is why the hood sometimes looks darker in a couple pics. It is odd but really cool.
The exterior paint was redone because of some nicks/chips The body was fully redone top to bottom.
Mechanical... The drivetrain breakdown is as follows: The engine is a .030 over 350 (355) with 4 bolt block, GM steel crank, Oliver rods and TRW forged blower pistons with a final compression of 8.5 to 1. Trick flow aluminum heads, Comp cam mechanical roller cam, stainless Comp roller rockers, Pete Jackson gear drive and Edelbrock Alum water pump. Heads and bottom end are ARP studded. Chromed 8qt Moroso oil pan and GM mini starter. Blower is a B&M mega blower (6-71 size).20% under driven to produce 8-10 psi boost. Very pump gas friendly. Carbs are Holly 600 mechanical secondarys with 50cc squirters. Be-cool ALU radiator. Has March serpentine belt conversion. Engine was completly built by Performance Engineering in Jenison. Exhaust is a Flowmaster 3" preformed kit with "H" pipe with SS tips. this is just the tip of the iceberg for the engine.
All the work done to the engine it is pushing out at least 550 Hp.
Transmission is a B&M Turbo 400 with a B&M quick 60 converter with anti-ballooning plates and a 3500 stall speed. Polished SS deep tranny pan with ARP SS bolts.
The suspension/rear consists of Moser 9" rear end with 31 spline Moser axles. Center section is a Strange unit with 3:73 gears and a Detroit Tru-Trac. New custom driveshaft with 1350 u-joints. Suspension consists of a front QA1 coil over conversion with adjustable shocks and 450lb springs. Rear shocks are QA1 adjustable. Brand new front and rear lowering springs. Rear control arms are Hotchkis and uppers are adjustable. Front suspension bushings have all been replaced with PST poly bushings. new tie rod ends, Hotchkis connectors, new ball joints uppers and lowers as well.
Every piece on this car has less than 3500 miles. The rear center section has less than 500 miles. Alot of other parts are brand new with about 10 miles as well.
Car comes with a file full for near every receipt for every part on this car including every single thing that was done to the entire drivetrain and the complete breakdown of the entire engine rebuild down to the smallest detail. At least $17,500 spent on parts and labor into the engine alone, and reciepts to prove it.
Notes... This car is just very impressive and when you sit in the drivers seat and turn the key you can feel the power underneath you and you just want to get there on the road.
The car drives right down the road very straight and smooth...a 4 wheel alignment just completed. You can feel that the car is all new as you drive down the road. You get alot of attention from young and old alike.
You could not build this car for the price we are asking.
This car is turn key and ready to drive where ever you would like to go. You can feel confident to drive this car cross-country with no worries. Everything on the car is new. This is a "no excuse car" ready to enjoy for years and years to come.
