The penthouse was installed by Sportsmobile in 1998. Fresh water and gray water tanks. Kitchen (stainless sink, wood cabinets, icebox, stove). Renell Bumper w/9000 lb winch. Completely self sufficient but also has has AC and H2O hookups. This van will climb like a Jeep, goes through snow like a champ. It was stripped to bare metal in the late 90s and completely repainted. The penthouse top was added in 1998 and was the last van to be equipped with a pop-top on this model. New engine in 2005. There are 7000 miles on the completely rebuilt 460 V8. RV cam. All new parts. New gas tank, New Piaa lights (not pictured), New radiator, etc etc. Exterior... A few scratches in the paint, but nice appearance overall. Chrome is nice but has very minor dings, from other people's doors in the parking lot. Interior... Very nice interior. Wood panelling is nice, cloth upholstery is nice. Front driver's seat has a minor tear. It is well cared for. The removable carpet is nice, as is the vinyl floors (for camping). She is equipped with a stove, 10 gallon water tank, stainless steel sink, locking wood cabinets, countertop space, icebox, TV/VCR, porta potty, great stereo system with Bazooka tube amp (AM/FM/Cassette, wireless remote control, removable face plate, bazooka, 6x9s and 6"dia. in front). Has incandescent lights, flourescent lights and low light mood lighting (blue rope lighting). The top is in excellent shape. Good canvas, windows and zippers in good shape, etc. Air conditioning recently serviced. Works well. Mechanical... Newly rebuilt 460 V8. 7000 miles on motor. Runs strong. Four wheel transfer case is a Dana 44. works fine. Tow hitch front and rear (Can carry bikes in front plus trailer in back). Renell bumper with 9000 lb winch and remote controller. Back up lights, Piaa running lights (Halogen), Spot lights, Neon lighting system UNDER the van for parties!!! Notes... ALSO....IF INTERESTED I HAVE A ONE-OF-A-KIND CAMPING TRAILER TO GO WITH THE VAN. THE TRAILER STARTED AS A 1950 FORD VETRENARIAN TRUCK BOX WITH A REAL CONTINENTAL KIT FOR THE SPARE AND 1950 FORD TAILLIGHTS! THE TRAILER HAS BEEN CUSTOMIZED AND RENOVATED TO ACCOMODATE A HI-SPEED INTERNET/TV SATELLITE DISH, 2 BICYLES ON TOP RACKS (NOT PICTURED) AND LOTS OF CAMPING GEAR. MODIFICATIONS INCLUDE A SPECIAL RACK FOR THE DISH, WHICH COULD ALSO BE CONVERTED TO A DECK FOR SLEEPING, TWIN THULE BICYCLE RACKS, RE-PANELED METAL DOORS WITH ALL NEW CHROME LOCKS (1 KEY LOCKS ALL DOORS), RE-PAINTED INTERIOR, 12 VOLT LIGHTING AND FUSE PANEL, CUSTOM FULL SWIVEL TRAILER HITCH (VIA SPORTSMOBILE FOR $375) ALLOWING MAXIMUM TRAVEL WHEN 4-WHEELING. THE TRAILER GIVES AMPLE SPACE FOR WORKING, COOKING, GEAR, TOOLS , FUEL ETC. IT HAS A SILVER EXTERIOR AND THE INTERIOR IS PAINTED WHITE. THE TRAILER HAS 3 FULL SLIDE OUT DRAWERS IN REAR, THREE SLIDER DRAWERS AT CENTER AND A LARGE COMPARTMENT IN THE FRONT. THE TRAILER MAY BE SOLD SEPARATELY OR WITH THE VAN FOR $3500.00.
