Restoration... Restored: This year-2009
This van was a shell when last purchased and had been sitting for 5 years. Engine was replaced as well as the radiator, brakes, rims, tires, gas line, starter, exhaust, and many other small parts. The windows are all original and in good condition, no chips or cracks. Body repaired with sheet metal - no bondo. New paint job. Added a custom roof rack and shelves inside in the back.
Exterior... New paint job as of April 2009. 3 coats with a clear coat.
Interior... The seats are original, and both have rips on the seat cusion only. The seats are vinyl and light blue in color. The dash is light blue (the original color of the van) with black vinyl trim. No carpet. Plywood used in the rear to create storage and shelving.
Mechanical... The original engine, a 240, was replaced with a 300 V-6 from a 1972 Ford truck. The transmission is a 3 speed manual on the column. The springs are in good shape and the shocks are new.
